Excessive

After only a month...I have two million pictures of my darling little girl. I can't imagine life before digital cameras with a newborn. Some of these pictures may be repeats of her first couple days...but I'm planning to organize her pictures for the first couple years into month by month. I'm finding that there are just too many digital means for sharing pictures. Between blogging, online photo websites, facebook and then having pictures in my purse in the event that Izzy isn't with me...I just can't keep up! Plus, I can't decide which photo website I like the best these days...Kodak, Shutterfly, Snapfish, MPIX, Picaboo, Picasa.... Any advice? How can I streamline all of my photo sharing so that I actually get it done?!

Anyways, here is a link for the Kodak album of Isabel's pictures from the first month. I'll warn you that you may need a little time to go through the slide show...I've narrowed it down to 300 photos! I hope you enjoy some of her expressions...she is constantly cracking us up with the looks she gives us. Here is one of my favorites!

As a side note, someone generously sent us a mug from Kodak with Isabel's photo on it...yet Kodak forgot to tell us who you were. If you sent the picture mug, will you let us know?!!

Post Season

This is slightly out of date...but I had to share Isabel's wardrobe for her first year of post-season Cardinals baseball! Izzy got a couple adorable Cardinal onesies and a Cardinals cheerleading outfit. The cheerleading outfit was a little too big for the games against the Dogers, so we got her all dressed up in one of her pink onesies. Ben and Izzy are already reading up on transactions expected for the off season...Let's go Cardinals!

Hurry up and take my picture Mom, I'm watching the game!
Oh no, this doesn't look like a good game!
Isabel and Daddy both yelled like this when Matt Holiday dropped the last out of the game!

Splish Splash

I gave Izzy her first real bath a couple of weeks ago and she absolutely loved it! She made all kinds of noises while I splashed water on her...it was so much fun. I've since learned to have everything all ready to go BEFORE you take the bath. It seems that open air before/after the bath makes her want to go to potty :)

One

Wow, I can't believe my baby girl is already ONE MONTH old! Where does time go? She is getting so big. We unofficially weighed her on the scale and she now weighs 10 lbs 6 oz! She is much more alert these days. She follows toys or people and holds her head up pretty well. Oddly, she has always shown a lot of neck strength from the beginning (I don't know if that is the norm or not). At one point when she was upset with the doctor, she lifted her head and glared at him. We are pretty certain she was saying "I know who you are and what you just did...and I'm not going to forget it". Just wait until she gets her shots...that person is going to get an evil glare.

Here are some of our "benchmark" photos. A couple of my friends have taken these types of pictures each month and I have loved looking back at how much they change. I couldn't decide which location I liked better...so here are a couple shots to show comparison with a bunny and the tree in the nursery.

Meet the Parents

Isabel is the first grandchild on both sides of the family...and the first great-grandchild on my Grandpa's side. Needless to say, all the grandparents have been on cloud nine since her arrival. They have all been wonderful...showering us with meals, baby clothes and lots of love for Izzy! Here are a couple pictures of the doting Grandparents! Thank you to all of you for taking such good care of us!!

This picture is so touching...my Dad stopped by the hospital around 10ish at night to check on my labor, but was then going to go home and wait for the news... Katie captured this picture on his way out!
