Halfway

So I figured now was as good a time as any to get the hang of blogging. If I don't figure it out in the next 20 weeks, then I feel like I might miss some of the important moments at the beginning of this fun journey!

For those who don't already know, Ben and I are expecting a baby Funk...September 14th to be exact. This week is the big 20 week mark for the pregnancy, which is half-way there. I have been counting up to this week, yet now I think I will start counting down. I keep thinking...I have 20 weeks to do this or that...but now the pressure has started to kick in! Is that normal?

Anyways, we went to the Doctor yesterday...and when I say we, I mean me, Ben and both our moms! This was our big 20 week ultrasound, the one where you can tell if it's a girl or a boy... Well, we found out that we have a BABY! We opted to be old fashioned and wait for D-Day to find out whether we will have a princess or a troublemaker. We also found out that our baby's heart rate was 164 which the doctor calls "active". The funny thing is that they tell me the baby is "active" at every appointment! Is it bad to ask for a prescription of Ritalin at this point??
